'Jailer' is estimated to have been made on a budget of Rs 240 crores, and the film has recouped the investment for the producers as it gained Rs 250 crores from the pre-release business, which includes the theatrical rights of Rs 122.5 crores. The film, which needed to gross Rs 240 crores to enter the profit zone, has grossed almost three times more than that, grossing over Rs 600 crores, and the film turned out to be a hugely profitable film for the makers and investors.
