This is not a movie script, but an actual scam run by some people in Gujarat, who set up a fake toll plaza on the Bamanbore-Kutch national highway and cheated government officials for over a year, as per reports.
Set up on a private land in Gujarat's Morbi, the fake toll plaza bypassed a national highway and cheated people. To lure people, they charged half the 'toll price' on 'their booth'. By this, the people, top government officers and police of the district was cheated for over an year.
The authorised till plaza of the national highway, Vaghasia toll plaza, its manager said the people were charged by fake toll plaza and the private landowners extorted thousands of rupees every single day for over a period of 1.5 years. The fake toll plaza was diverting the traffic, from the actual route of the highway through a land owned by the White House Ceramic Company, which is a closed factory and through Varghasia village
We received information that some vehicles were being diverted from the actual route of the Varghasia toll plaza and toll tax was being collected. The police and other officials reached the spot to investigate and filed a detailed complaint," Morbi district Collector GT Pandya
A complaint was registered against the owners of the company White House Ceramic Company by the police. The owners of the company are Amarshi Patel, Vanraj Singh Jhala, Harvijay Singh Jhala, Dharmendra Singh Jhala, Yuvraj Singh Jhala.
